Tournament Info  

Twin City Youth Soccer in Winston Salem NC invites you to take part in the 2nd Annual Southern Soccer Showcase.   This year’s event will be a True Showcase Event - 3 games only, match results recorded but no points given.  No Group Winners/No Awards. This showcase event is open to U15 to U17 Premier/Elite teams from USYSA State Affiliated clubs.  Acceptance will be limited to 48 teams each weekend to insure the highest quality competition.   The Inaugural Southern Soccer Showcase was well received by youth teams and colleges coaches and was highly rated by Got Soccer.  The boys weekend received a Got Soccer Silver Rating, while the girls weekend received a Got Soccer Gold Rating.  For more information about the 2008 Southern Soccer Showcase, please follow this link.

We are working closely with the Men's and Women's Soccer programs of Wake Forest to develop an excellent program of college matches, recruiting seminars and guest speakers to make the 2nd edition Southern Soccer Showcase even better than the original. Stay tuned for more details.

The tournament is currently sanctioned as a restricted event for teams from USYSA State affiliated clubs.  US Club Soccer teams and International teams that are interested in attending should contact the tournament director at tournaments@twincitysoccer.com.  If there is adequate interest, re-sanctioning will be considered.

Where:

All showcase matches (club and college) will be held on the 13 full size Bermuda turf fields at BB&T Soccer Park in Advance, NC.

Payment can be made by Check, Money order or Credit Card and must be received before your team will be considered for acceptance.  Entry fees for applications received after 2/10/2009 must be made via Credit Card.

Application Process:

Applications will only be accepted online through Got Soccer

Team Check In:

Team Check-in will be held at BB&T Soccer Park on Friday night (3/27 for Boys, 4/3 for Girls) from 5:30 to 9:00.  Field check-ins are available, but only if arrangements are made with the Tournament Directors in advance.  Teams will need to present the following documents; all documents must be for 2008/2009 season:

·         USYSA/State Certified Match Rosters (4 Copies – one with original stamp)

·         USYSA/State Certified Laminated Player Cards for All Players.

·         USYSA/State Notarized Medical Release Forms for All Players.

·         State Approved Permission to Travel Forms

Our Travel Partner, Gale Adouli and her team of travel professionals at Great Getaways have secured hotel rooms in Winston Salem at a special rate for our event.  All teams needing hotel rooms for the Southern Soccer Showcase are required to make their housing arrangements through Great Getaways.  Please follow this link for more information on the booking process.

Awards:

All players will receive a participation gift from the Southern Soccer Showcase.

Communication from the Southern Soccer Showcase will be via email, text message and this website only, so team contact, team manager, team coach should confirm that all contact information is correct in Got Soccer and check email and this website often, please.
